Discarded ideas for the project.
We had a concept we termed ‘Bump’. This aimed to improve on the iTunes party playlist feature that removed the awkward social moments where a party-goer has to stop their conversation and look at their phone to choose a music track. This appears rude and antisocial.
Our ‘Coach’ idea dealt with the idea of communal music on public transport. More info later.
Our ‘Superclub’ concept would allow clubbers to vote for the DJ’s music playlist by cheering for song options in turn. The volume of the feedback is used to choose the next song. This intended to maintain a lively club atmosphere and introduce more social interaction between strangers with similar/different music tastes.
